Write about a misunderstanding caused by assumptions

Bev goes to the pigeon hole, where her boss' post has been placed whilst he is away from the office on .......................  There is a tape there, not the size or style she usually transcribes or used in the office.  No explanatory note is attached.  So after making casual enquiries around the office, she takes it back to her desk and starts typing....

What does she hear on there that is so shocking?
